Terms of use
Effective 20 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the SchoolJot apps for iPhone and Android or our websites. By signing in, you agree to them. Please read them together with our privacy policy.
1. Who provides SchoolJot
SchoolJot is provided by SchoolJot Tech Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, Telangana, India ("SchoolJot", "we", "us").
2. Who can use it
- SchoolJot is for schools, their staff, and the parents and guardians of their students. Your school creates your account; you cannot sign up on your own.
- You must be an adult (18 or older) to have an account.
- Your access depends on your school: if the school removes you, or stops using SchoolJot, your access may end.
3. Your account
- Keep your sign-in codes and your phone secure, and don't let anyone else use your account.
- Tell your school or us at support@schooljot.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app or as described on schooljot.com/delete-account.
4. What you share
- You remain responsible for the posts, messages, photos and files you share, and you must have the right to share them.
- You give SchoolJot permission to store, display and deliver that content to the people your school allows, only to run the service.
- Content you share with your school becomes part of the school's records. If you delete your account, it stays with the school without your name, as explained in our privacy policy.
5. Acceptable use
Please be respectful — SchoolJot is a space for families and schools. You must not:
- share anything unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or harmful to children;
- share other people's personal information without permission;
- pretend to be someone else, or try to access accounts, schools or data that aren't yours;
- disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or probe the service for weaknesses, or use it to send spam.
Schools can remove content and accounts in their school, and we may suspend accounts that break these rules or the law. To report content, contact your school or support@schooljot.com.
6. Helper features
Some features — class summaries, "Refine" wording suggestions and translation — are produced automatically and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important with your school; the original post or message is always the record.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep SchoolJot available and secure, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or retire features. If we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you in the app before the change applies.
8. Liability
SchoolJot is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content shared by schools or other users. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts in Hyderabad, Telangana have jurisdiction over any dispute.
